New Commercial Features Carl’s Jr and Hardee’s Employees Discussing Workplace Experiences

Employee testimonials consistent with national poll that found widespread job satisfaction

Washington D.C. – Today the Employment Policies Institute (EPI) released a commercial of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s employees discussing their  on-the-job experiences at these restaurants. The 60-second commercial is running in the DC market during Fox and Friends, Morning Joe, Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, and The O’Reilly Factor on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as during Fox and Friends and Morning Joe on Thursday.

The commercial coincides with CKE Restaurants CEO Andy Puzder’s Secretary of Labor confirmation hearing on Thursday as well as coordinated, SEIU-orchestrated protests against him yesterday.

The commercial features:

  • Corina Ortiz, a Carl’s Jr. employee from Albany, OR
  • Patsy Eskilson, a Hardee’s employee from Lake City, FL
  • Cherie Abarquez, a Carl’s Jr. employee from Bakersfield, CA
  • Ann Devane, a Hardee’s employee from Macclenny, FL

These employees recently took part in an event on Capitol Hill where they spoke about their on-the-job experiences. House Education & Workforce Chairwoman Virginia Foxx presided.

The employees stories are consistent with a recent national poll of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s employees by the independent survey firm CorCom Inc. The survey found:
